Cookie set for a special lady.

This set of cookies I made for one wonderful woman.
Her name is Pamela.
She became a good friend of mine, even though we had never met in real life.
Pamela has a good heart, she appreciates the beauty, loves art and also creates culinary masterpieces herself. You can see all her lovely photos here

Independence Day cookies

It's been a long time since I've posted pictures on my blog ..
During this time I got lot of new photos and even a little pictorial.
In the coming days I will try to catch up with my blog and my FB page.

Church auction cookies.

Hurray! Finally, we moved into a new place... Anyone who has ever moved knows that there is always a stress.
A lot of physical work, packing, organizing, shopping, decor, etc.

Despite being very busy, I still contributed a couple of days to do a few sets of cookies. This is what I love to do and what brings me joy!
Could not immediately post a photo here on the blog. Had to lie down and rest for few days because of back problems.

Today I want to show you cookies, that I made for the auction at our church.

Birthday cookie set

This cookie set is for the girl's 15th Birthday.
The design meets her hobbies and her beautiful name - Melody.

I used royal icing (recipe is here).
If you are using CK meringue powder - my recipe will not work for you.

Did cameo for the first time... Turns out it isn't that difficult.
Next time I will make pictorial.

Birthday cookie set..

This set of cookies I made for 88th Birthday for one lady.
Her favorite colors are pink (all shades) and lavender.
She crocheted until just a few years ago and loves tatted, lace, embroidered, handmade things. She likes flowers, hearts, bunnies and she likes chocolate and vanilla cookies.

So I have included the accents of embroidery and cross stitch and also lace and a few cookies with the technique wet on wet and painted cookies.

Cookies in a "shabby chic" style...

Today I want to show you my first cookies in a "shabby chic" style.

I love looking at vintage designs of various talented artists,

that do scrapbooking.

Such projects have inspired me to create these cookies.

In order to create the "old" look of the cookies,

it is necessary first not use bright colors, but only pastel or muted.

Just add some black or white to your color.

Brown color will be the best fit to a green one.

Flower cookies with MP Buttercream.

And these cookies are decorated with MP Buttercream.
 I love Buttercream!
 I used tips #101, 1 and 352.
And here is a recipe of chocolate cookies,
that I have found here long time ago and finally decided to try it.
Very delicious!

Brownie Roll-Out Cookies

3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup lightly salted butter, softened (I used one stick salted, one stick unsalted)
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
Preheat oven at 350 degrees. Whisk dry flour, salt and baking powder in bowl and set aside. Mix butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and cocoa in mixer. Gradually add flour mixture, and mix until smooth. Wrap in plastic and chill for at least one hour.

Roll out cookie dough on floured counter. Cut into desired shapes, brushing extra deposits of flour off the top. (It does disappear once baked, though, so don’t overly fret if they go into the oven looking white.) Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 8 to 11 minutes (the former for 1/8-inch thick cookies, the latter for 1/4-inch cookies) until the edges are firm and the centers are slightly soft and puffed.

Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

Spring cookie set

I made this set of cookies for beloved

and very close to my heart people.

Wanted to thank them just for being there for me,

for the fact that they amaze everyone around with their undying youth,

joy and kindness.

For decoration these cookies I used Meringue Powder Buttercream and Royal icing.
